Joe McMahon is the Singer of American Punk Rock Band SMOKE OR FIRE, who began in Boston in 1999. After Moving to Richmond Virginia the band was signed by FAT Wreck Chords in 2005. They released their debut album "Above the city" and toured non-stop with bands like RISE AGAINST, AVAIL, NOFX, and even a 50 state tour of America with AGAINST ME! that took 4 months and 87 shows to complete. The band released two more full lengths on FAT and did multiple headlining tours of America, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
In 2013 McMahon moved from America to Münster, Germany and
began his solo career. He released his debut solo album "Another Life"
in 2016 on GUNNER Records (Frank Turner, Gaslight
Anthem), and has played over 500 shows in more than 25 countries
since relocating.
His band THE DOCKINEERS features Austrian powerhouse Mike Dee of DeeCRACKS on drums, and from Switzerland Marco Baumann on bass, and The
GAMITS' Michael Marti on guitar.
